12 Days to Epiphany: Day 2 - The Words of West Cork Podcast
Today is the second day of the 12 Days of Christmas and our countdown to Epiphany continues.
Over the 12 days we’ll run through the most popular Never A Truer Word content of 2022 and with each post there will be a lesson or nugget that you can take with you and use as you like.
It’s a Christmas crash course in analysing statements.
Day 2: The Words of West Cork Podcast
It’s the Words of West Cork podcast, which looks at the statements of people involved in the investigation into the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier.
The lesson here is consistency. Or lack of it. Ian Bailey is very consistent in his use of words and consistently specific with some of the things he says. Why is that? Meanwhile, in episode two, the discredited witness Marie Farrell is inconsistent in her story-telling and it is easy to find that and conclude she is being deceptive.
If someone is strangely consistent, especially if they consistently qualify what they mean, ask why.
